      McCain certainly wasn't dominionist.

      Bachman is good for laughs and providing an easy target/diversion for pundits. But she has no chance to be elected. And, Perry is just another Texan, he is not orthodox enough to be considered a dominionist, besides he is all about serving corporations, not God.

      Hyping dominionists seems to be another sub rosa way of convincing progressives to keep voting for democratic politicians that act against their interests.

      In other words, it is a variation on the "it's the Supreme Court, stupid" meme that works to keep progressives in check.

      and a ton of local school boards and dictate content of the national school textbooks or work to destroy public education and replace it with fundie influenced if not dominated academies and fundie home schooling?... they are pervasive and mostly under the radar...
