I was born in the suburbs of NYC and lost both family and friends that day. What I remember most is my first reaction as someone told me that a plane had hit the WTC" you know, that happened to the Empire State Building once"
I was then Civil Service at a large Military installation. Then the second tower was hit- then the Pentagon and the scramble to find out how friends were that were stationed there. Then a plane down in NW PA- and trying to check on in laws there.
My reaction to all the TV retrospectives is unprintable And my reaction to the selling of the Iraq war is worse. I knew from veterans of the 1st Gulf War- we had gotten those chemical weapons.
