Democracy doesn't mean you only participate if the candidate you like the best makes it to the ballot. Apparently you have failed thus far in your attempts to persuade someone you like better than Obama to run for president, as have many of us. While it's not too late, time is growing short and you're not likely to find someone willing to take up the gauntlet.

Apparently, you weren't willing to take up the gauntlet yourself. Maybe you decided you couldn't win (or possibly you aren't eligible.)

This means that when the democratic process has played out, you will be left with two candidates, which your fellow Americans participating in the democratic process have chosen  or settled for simply by their decision not to run in opposition or support someone running in opposition.

In democracy, you don't take your ball and go home because you didn't win the first round. You buck up and abide by the choices of your countrymen and indicate your support for the candidate you find most tolerable.

Or you can opt out of the democratic process, in which case, you may as well shut up, too, because if you aren't participating then I don't care about your views on the results of the democratic process.
