a tour de force. No one who's read this diary will ever forget
Lawrence King. You brought him to life with your words.

Wonderful writing!! Thank you. It is rage provoking, I must admit.

Thank you also to CIK, especially sooth and RG.

prncess6 generously sent me Devil's Knot by Mara Leveritt--about the West Memphis Three-- a chilling story of judicial, media and jurist injustice, viciousness based on otherness, not unlike Lawrence's story. I know it is extremely naive but I cannot believe that there were in 1993 and still are people with such tiny little minds who speak of purity, God and love and think nothing at all of obliterating a member (or members) of their human family. Mind boggling to me.

To all who read the excellent CIK diary last week about the West Memphis Three and want to know more, I highly recommend Devil's Knot.

Lawrence met his awful and unfair end in California. The WM3 were illegally incarcerated for almost 20 years in Arkansas. It seems to be everywhere -- this bigotry, hatred and fear. Breaks the heart.

    Again, excellent job, indie!!

    love.
