    "But Governor, isn't the request for clemency and the requirement that a death warrant be personally issued by the Governor part of the appeals process?  By mechanically signing death warrants, haven't you essentially abdicated your responsibilities?  And if you have, how can you be sure that judges and prosecutors weren't similarly irresponsible?"

    No need to ask about Willingham at all -- i have no belief he's the only innocent man executed, after all, and i believe exactly zero of the <233 guilty men Texas executed deserved their fate.
