From what I heard Obama saying, he's all about the private sector creating jobs, not more creation of government jobs.

I may be misinterpreting your statement here.

I'm looking at a specific line, where they use $10B to start an "infrastructure bank" that will provide, I guess, government backed loans to private companies to invest in "infrastructure improvements."

That's part of their "infrastructure" funding. Not the same thing as building public infrastructure, at all, where we'd be paying out for something we would all own and benefit from later.

It's public-private partnership stuff. Which unfortunately, IMO, often means, "taxpayers will put up the money and take all the risk on giving you a loan for next to no interest so that you can invest it in your own company's projects and then increase your profits and give raises to your 42 vice presidents."

I want to see details, because I'm very bothered by crap like that. It's almost never a good deal for the public, all it generally does is use public money to increase profits at companies that just tend to filter them right into their highest paid administrators anyway. It's possible that they'll structure it more carefully than most of these things have been, but I'll be dubious until I can see the actual proposal in detail.
