    in 1960. But still, it is pretty striking how cheap homes were back then. Even after a historic drop, we're still nowhere near the affordability that we saw during the 60's.

      in uber weathly town in Maine in 1975.

      Not a large home, however, beautiful piece of land, top schools, safe, near ocean.

      Mortgage was $20,000 !

      True story.

      comparing home prices to inflation. They've been historically very closely interlocked: high inflation = low home price appreciation, low inflation = high home price appreciation.

      The fact that home prices are depreciating, rapidly, makes me wonder about true inflation.
