        It appears to me, and I might be wrong about this, that every single boycotter is a strong, consistent supporter of President Obama. And nobody, as far as I know, who criticizes the President is boycotting.

        Surely that's important in understanding what's going on here.

          ...between "strong, consistent supporters" and "people who criticize the President"—as if they aren't often one and the same. One can be critical of the President and some of his choices, while continuing to support him at the same time—and many of those who are boycotting do just that.
