    I'm not actually antisocial, I just enjoy solitude.

    I fantasize about living in a remote area with a cook pot, a bowl, a spoon, a blanket, and a lot of books...

    And you're right...we need each other.

      You have pointed out a confusion in mah brain: how to fulfill the part of me that needs and enjoys others while having a whole bunch of space for myself?  And do I need the space because my work has almost no space for me - it's about my students, as it should be...sigh.
      I have a philosophical problem on my hands, but camping in the woods as you wrote about seems pretty divine just now.

        confusion in mah brain about a lot of things. I understand the conflict.

        I know teachers - the good ones at least, and I definitely place you in that category - give their all with no thought for their own space. But yeah, that can make for some conflicting feelings, especially if you enjoy wandering around in your own head.

        I like to do that - wander around in my head, I mean. But sometimes I find an infestation of spiders...

        I make them write poems for me...  ;-)
