  •  So, I didn't even have to go back (3+ / 0-)

much further than a week to find the most recent comment in which you're accusing Jews (!) of antisemitism.

You've got 17 comments over the last two years in which you mention the word.

Finding comments in which you defend settlers and settlements is also not hard.

And THAT is the issue.  It's what you JUST said, not something said in a different context.

If you want to trawl comments, have a blast.

At least I stayed on topic.  What has your comment to do with what is in THIS thread?

Comments like yours illustrate why this site is such a cesspool.  It is 100% gratuitous, over personal, over general, and negative.  Not to mention it is wrong on the facts, as I stated.

      No more attention for you.

      •  Your denial was completely false (4+ / 0-)

getting you nose rubbed in your own deception is never pleasant, so maybe you should stop making false statements and frivolous accusations of antisemitism, diving into that cesspool you claim to detest.

        •  Antisemitism? Where did I do that here? (1+ / 0-)

This place never ceases to amaze.

My ORIGINAL comment in the diary said:

Many, many, many people on ALL sides of the issues, in good faith, believe the US is doing the right thing here.  They are not just right wing.  To all these people this is no failure.  They are just using different criteria.  Is that so hard to understand?  Is that wrong?

No more, no less.  It was met with a reply that, in essence, was an off topic personal attack, and you join in the demonization.

Do you really get off on this stuff?  I don't get it at all that people choose to make comments like yours, calling people liars and the like, because they may have a different point of view.  We are clearly on different wavelengths, especially when it comes to communication.

          •  When you posted (0+ / 0-)

this racist video accompanied by a an inflammatory lie in the subject line, you ignored Kos' request for civil behavior in someone else's diary.

            •  Now you are also trawling. (0+ / 0-)

              Whatever floats your boat.

I did not violate any rules here.  Nor have I been uncivil.  You are the one being uncivil, actually.

The video is NOT racist in the slightest.  You never answered the question why so many Palestinian organizations, not to mention the PA itself, depict Israel as Palestine.  That video only asks the same question.

              •  You broke the rule IMHO (0+ / 0-)

As the diarist I hoped someone else would step forward and call you on your awful comment, but when nobody did I felt I had to.

                •  Which comment? (0+ / 0-)

Why are you so afraid of a video that you can't even answer the simple question it asks?

Why do so many Palestinian organizations, including the PA, depict the state of Israel as Palestine?  To ask that is NOT racist.  It's a fair question that you run from with these rants about liars and the like.  Which says, to me, just how effective that video is in making the very point intended.

No answer then or now, however.

Here, in this diary, I broke no rules.  I made a rather benign comment.  You seem to be defending the personal attacks launched in response.  In fact, you go even further to impugn me.  That's your choice, as is mine not to reciprocate in kind.

      •  If the Israeli government were willing (4+ / 0-)

to negotiate seriously on settlements, Palestine would not find itself in the position of going to the UN for a unilateral declaration.

The diary, in fact, addresses that very issue.

Israel's refusal to negotiate seriously on settlements demonstrates the hard right-wing position its current government has taken on the issue.

You attempt to portray that refusal as moderate and reasonable.

You also, in past comments, have supported settlements and settlers and you have also thrown around the antisemitism accusation at those who criticize Israel's hard right-wing stand, including at Jewish critics of Israel.

If you have a problem being called out on your own positions, perhaps you should consider changing your positions...

        •  And plenty of people have different criteria... (0+ / 0-)

as I said.  I can respect yours, but disagree.  You cannot respect mine.  Instead, in gratuitous fashion, you demonize.  Of all the things you might have done, that was the one you chose.  Later.

          •  Again, you are attempting to portray (0+ / 0-)

a hard right-wing position as reasonable and moderate.  The facts on the ground, however, are quite different.  Israel is not the moderate party today, it is the intransigent, authoritarian one.  In particular, Israeli refusal to negotiate even one bit on the issue of settlements shows incontrovertibly its utmost disrespect for fundamental Palestinian interests.  The fact Israel's Foreign Minister is an open racist also undermines any attempt to portray Israel as the moderate party.

These facts, indeed, are the major reasons 160 nations will vote this week to accept Palestine into the United Nations, forcing the US to isolate itself from the world community by vetoing the resolution in the Security Council.

            •  Interesting how (0+ / 0-)

such a "hard right position" is held by so many liberal members of Congress. Downright peculiar, actually.
