  •  I agree with you on that. (5+ / 0-)

It was mean.  I did not like the few comments I read (it so much better w/o them seemed to be theme).

There are a few here who feed into what in the 60s was called a "backlash".  I saw one (and may have HRed it, not sure) which out of the blue started talking about AAs and crime.  There are people here with stereotypical views and even negative views toward a group.  That one seemed to be a false racial stereotype and racist at least in some ways.

I said last week that I wanted bridges but I was pessimistic because many on either side did not want peace.  I think it's worth trying anyway, and there are a lot of good people on all sides, but my experience is you will find people who seek to blow up bridges.

I totally agree with you.  Meaness hurts people and there are those who get joy out of causing pain to another on a blog.

Take care.  While I disagreed with the boycott, all last week I made the true point that most I knew that were boycotting were good folks and deserved respect.

Good can come out of all of this if we try, but be aware that not everyone on any side (and I don't see myslef on a side, but I'm sure others do and may palce me on either side), but there are folks who only want war and to "win."

We "win" in my view if Obama is re-elected.  Also if people grow in awareness and change some racial attitudes here.

The American people must wise up and rise up!
