      neo-liberals.  Summers and Rubin convinced Clinton to make the bond markets happy.

      Most of the liberal Clintonites left, see. e.g., Reich.  Others resigned when he signed the welfare kill bill.  

      Bill Clinton had some good points, but he was the DLC for the most part.

      The American people must wise up and rise up!

        was part of the Summers/Rubin convention in the days after the election in 1993.  See Clinton's biography for a discussion.

        Given Robert's embrace of free trade and his writings about knowledge workers I have trouble seeing him as much of a Progressive.
