    ...if you look at the technology demonstration press release, the basic battery cell they have in production can store a bit more than 30 Watt-hours of electricity, and has a potential difference of 2 volts.  It also looks like it's about half the size of a bento box.  To get a higher voltage, one has to string these batteries together in a series.

    I suspect that the reason they're targeting the fixed installation market right now is that the volume (i.e. cubic feet) of batteries necessary to store a reasonable amount of energy in a car would be simply too large to make them an attractive alternative to lithium-ion batteries.
