    build and nurture coops of the Mondragon type.  But I'm also saying let's not let that in any way obscure the fundamental task: socialist revolution.  The job of revolutionaries is to make revolution.

    •  Could coops be a tool of such a revolution? (5+ / 0-)

      Workers right now are so in debt and stressed. They are working themselves to death. It is hard to fight back when your belly is empty and you have no roof over your head. Coops could provide the stability necessary for people to have a base to fight from.

      A network of coops, as NYB suggests, could be a powerful social and political force. They could organize large masses of people in one direction, much like they do in France.

      You got to take the tools that come your way, if you want a successful revolution.
