  •  Congress (0+ / 0-)

I'd say given the anti-incumbent mood this year it seems highly unlikekly that they keep control of the House - for one thing, all those freshmen have had very little time to build up significant constituent service credit.

The Republicans get to gerrymander the map to lock in gains in a lot of states, moreso than the Democrats can undo in Illinois.  They're already maxed out or nearly maxed out in some of the states, but will be able to make taking out some of the freshmen in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and Florida an uphill battle.

Obama isn't going to cause the turnout boost in 2012 he did in 2008 in most districts.

contain significant portions where the incumbent is new to voters, so no constituent service record, etc.; on the other hand, they're damned as ... well ... the incumbent!
