    And I'm not sure we can do anything but stand up and say "no more".

    I don't think it's in our hands anymore for several reasons - the biggest being money, and an unwillingness to change our way of living and move away from fossil fuels.

    The powers that be are chomping at the bit to build a coal-fired power plant in Kemper County, MS - and use our home-grown coal...

    Our home-grown coal is lignite. Lignite is just barely coal - one of the dirtiest and most foul-burning of fuel carbons. Makes tar sands look clean.

    And we don't even really need the damn plant. But it will be built here, and will further foul the state...if it can be any more foul than it already is, in so many ways.

    Sorry for the mini-rant... I'm just pissed off. :-(
