  •  Hi GW's ! (6+ / 0-)

Excellent diary...sputter...the nerve.  BP has been operating in the GOM safely?  Since when?!  :O
I am so glad to read others that that the wellhead video looked a little too surreal. I know that FG was on some blog radio thing and stated that BP did a plug/abandon without fanfare last winter (November?) but that he believed it was likely to be leaking at least a bit and that leaks get worse, not better. Now we all saw it streaming bubbles of something when the memorial cap was placed and that is now quite clean, no leaks or bubbles. The other wellhead was relief well #3 and there was more of that footage than I thought necessary, and it had bubbles as well, that looked like oil. I am completely confused and since not anything close to expert so I am keeping my thoughts to myself. But I am not comfortable with the whole situation - and I think it's politically a big problem for this president. He got the blame somehow when the thing first blew and he'll get it again, no doubt. Knowing that BP is giving generously to the R's doesn't make me feel any better, either.  Sigh.
Your diary was excellent, LP, hope you are doing well and enjoying cooler weather.  May everyone's favorite team win! I'm not much of a sports fan as I don't seem to have time to do anything but work, blah. So if you're all happy with whoever goes to the World Series, I am delighted!!  :)

has to deal with are ridiculous, IMHO. And BP is apparently just openly buying off chunks of Congress, like all the corporate entities after the Citizens United decision.

And I'm not comfortable with the situation around Macondo either.

I don't watch much baseball until the League Championship Series, and then only if there's a team (or a Gulf Watcher) I care about.

Phil and shanesnana are Red Sox and Phillies fans, respectively. 'nana's team has clinched their Phil has to wait, gnawing his nails, to see if the Sox make it into a wildcard position by the skin of their teeth... go, Sox!
