    I heard almost the exact same thing on NPR this morning, complete with a quote from Dick Durbin. Even then, the story studiously avoided even hinting that this is yet another entirely republican manufactured crisis. "Congress" kept getting blamed. "Republican" was never attached to any of it.
    Then we heard an interview with Bill o'Fucking Really about a wittle book he supposedly wrote. I didn't hold my breath waiting for the interviewer to ask him why suddenly NPR is an appropriate vehicle for promotion.

    Meanwhile, here in VT, our democratic governor is doing so well with his disaster response management that the first likely challenger for 2012 has announced he will not try to run against Shumlin. It's very likely that Shumlin will be our governor for as long as he wants; he has been phenomenal since this thing hit, and he was kicking ass even before.

    What a stark contrast.

    Class war has consequences, and we are living them.
