you will find that marijuana reduces IOP. I don't think that is a placebo effect.

and it was inconclusive.  It suggested there are some benefits -- as reported by the participants, which should be a flag, given the other effects of marijuana -- but there simply haven't been sufficient studies to determine marijuana works.  I'm personally skeptical of any drug that would exist in smokable form, but mostly that the grandiose claims of medical marijuana advocates seem to undermine the argument.  It's not a wonder drug, whatever it is.  I'm not a doctor, but I wouldn't ever prescribe it.  I might say, go ahead and smoke it if you've got it, but that's it.  Even the strongest claims for the drug's success don't seem to rest on anything other than that they can mitigate the effects of some drugs, but then you have to wonder if it also mitigates the efficacy of them.  Look, a lot of promising drugs don't survive phase III or IV testing with the FDA.   And although synthetic cannaboids have, the odds of marijuana itself doing so are just exceedingly slim, given the records of FDA approval.  And I trust the FDA more than I trust some college dropout in a head shop.
