  •  I don't see that as the ticket (0+ / 0-)

If Romney wins they're is no way on this Earth that Perry will swallow his ego and play second fiddle. But they're going to need someone who can offset Romney's "christian problem". My bet's on Michele Bachmann. She's never been a real leader, rather someone who is happy to play the role assigned to her, she just wants a spotlight shown on her. That's partly what tanked McCain/Palin. Palin still thought and acted like she was the head of the ticket.

But, you're looking at it from your own perspective...a democrat's perspective.

I'm thinkin' that's gonna be the ticket.  Ya gotta KNOW Bachmann isn't gonna be his choice....I mean, she's just some kinda nutcase.  It's not about religion...it's about electability...think along those lines.

I think Romney will be forced to take her or he loses the Teahadist votes. They won't vote Democrat, they'll just stay home instead.

        •  Palin????? (0+ / 0-)

Nah...she's not gonna be in the mix.  How did you get that I think anyone wants Palin?

Unsure how you got that. Wanna respond?

Palin won't be on the ticket again. But the religious wing of the party will force someone like her on the ticket . And I'm saying Perry's ego won't let it be him so it'll probably be Bachmann.

But, Bachmann will be one of the LAST picks of any GOP presidential candidate for VP.

She's just WAY too "out there"...and, after the last experience with having a woman on the GOP ticket...not gonna happen.

              Just IMO.

              •  Agreed. Not going there again... (0+ / 0-)

Bachman has proven that she can be undone by her own uninformed nature.  That was Palin's cardinal sin, and why her approvals are dismal, even among rank and file GOP.

Bachman is smarter than Palin, but she has already been embarrassed in a TV setting.  They won't tolerate that again.

Write these names down as likely VP picks for Romney:

Herman Cain (black conservative loved by talk radio - how do you frame them as racist then?)

Marco Rubio ("Rising Star" latino who can be easily replaced by another republican senator)

Chris Christie (Could he put NJ in play as VP nominee?  As I recall, McCain had NJ in play briefly in some polls in the summer of 2008.  If that happens, could PA follow?  Lot's of possibilities here)
