...in our issues and therefore our equal rights.

I expected more than three trans visitors, which is what there was when I wrote the comment.

    •  I appreciate what you do at many levels. (4+ / 0-)

Not just on trans issues, and your beautiful artwork, but your spirit and perspective greatly enriches our whole community.

It can be so challenging dealing with the wild fluctuations of reader response here.

Both of us have had had posts that receive hundreds of recs and comments one week, and then hardly any notice of later posts we may have worked harder on.

Conceptually, I tell myself not to judge the value of my contributions by response, as so much randomness comes into play.

I'm sorry if I've missed some of your recent posts as I've been in a funk myself for the last month.

A few months ago, I was getting up to 10 to 15 posts a week, and once was number 5 and then number 2 on the weekly total author impact surveys.

But, then I went on vacation, lost the habit, and now struggle to do even 1 or 2 per week, most of which go unnoticed, except for the one solar article.

I was complaining to my shrink about my loss of energy and motivation, but instead of trying to perk me up, he's worried that I was having a mania a few months back.  lol

      Whatever....

      Please hang in there.

    •  Also, as a trans-woman who has succeded in (7+ / 0-)

transitioning where most get blocked by various obstables, you must know, better than anyone, how your sense of self and some internal sense of validation must come from within, as depending on external validation is a recipe for hurt and disappointment.

Easier to say, than feel, I know too well.

Actually, I have given up here  many times, but never wrote GBCW diaries, and no one even noticed my absence.

I'm trying to learn to let the waves of identification and connection with the community here ebb and flow on whatever basis that happens.

But, for a small band of quite and consistent supporters here, I would have given up long ago.

Please know that I'm one of your supporters, and alwasy will be.

I also know you've been a source of inspiration and hope to many who identify as you do, but for various reasons can never pursue it publically -- a sad a tragic situation, but it happens.

    •  Sorry I was late (0+ / 0-)

I had to go see my daughter this weekend.
