    Basically, the idea of spreading risk (or diversification) is fine, but that doesn't mean that the risks disappear.  Taking on additional risks because of diversification is crazy.  Not learning this lesson from the 2008 crash fits Einstein's definition of insanity, "Repeating the same action over and over and expecting a different result."
