    Thank you for your candor and praise. We are all of us in this together and all of us are learning.  I just hope I am able to inspire others to look at misogyny and the intersections of oppression and how we can help enfranchise those that are marginalized.

      I guess where I disagreed in college was that just because Shakespeare had a penis it didn't make him a jerk. Just look at his female charachters: some of them were ahead of their time, and certainly Richard's Wagner's operatic female characters were, too.

      If I can be accused of anything, it can be having a near-pathological hatred of the turncoat generation of my parents. Compared to my grandparents, who sacrificed everything and my paternal grandmother, who is still with us at 91 and feisty and liberal and Feminist as hell. My dad, of course, is an asshole, and married one (after my mother) who is one as well. Poor as churchmice, straddled with the burden of a home built in 1690 that needs constant renovation, they still tend Republican, for the face-saving of their poverty, they must pretend....
