  •  "nothing will happen" = defeatist meme. (6+ / 0-)

Nothing will happen if we sit on our hands, bounce on our thumbs, and spend our time making cynical remarks rather than organizing and making noise and demanding that these bastards be brought to justice.

Same with the banksters.  And cries of outrage on blogs are no substitute for a constant deluge of email to elected officials.

Pre-emptive declarations of defeat and surrender only help the enemy.

"Minus one vote for the Democrat" equals "plus one vote for the Republican." Arithmetic doesn't care about your feelings.

are far and wide.  From funding the Baggers to the network of ALEC related think tanks in the States Policy Network these guys are destroying our democracy.  And now trading with Iran!

AnnetteK had the story and some info on the prepublictiy push from last week here http://www.dailykos.com/...  It never made the rec list, hope it gets rescued.

Politicalgates has been discussing it since last night and there are lots of good links for info on the Koch activities in the many pages of the thread.    http://www.dailykos.com/...

You know this story is big with the VP of American for Prosperity shows up at Politicalgates for "damage control".  It time to expose the whole Kochtopus.  They are the poster boys for Crony Capitalism and every American needs to understand that.

      •  Tactic: imprecatory prayer. (2+ / 0-)

        Spiritual warfare.

Imprecatory prayer is basically praying for God to strike someone dead and send them to hell.

It doesn't matter if WE believe it "works," all that matters is the response it gets from the Koches and their supporters.

        Like this:

A bunch of leftie publications issue imprecatory prayers calling for God to strike dead the Koches and send them to hell.  These have to be written according to a very specific formula for them to be taken seriously by religious righties.  (I know a bit about this from having studied it for an intel project a couple of years ago.)

The imprecatory prayers are circulated far and wide.

        Then what happens is:

Either a) Koch says he doesn't believe in that stuff, which alienates his followers on the religious right, or b) he says he does believe in that stuff, and then he and his followers have to engage in a whole bunch of counter-prayer and suchlike to try to undo it!

We can tie them down easily with this kind of spiritual warfare, and force them to spend time dealing with it.  The time they spend on this is time they can't spend doing something else.  The "bang for buck" ratio is favorable, such that the time WE spend on it is minimal compared to the time that THEY (assuming they or their supporters are True Believers) spend trying to undo it.

And the best part is, it's all 100% legal.

It's even easier for agnostics and atheists, who can go through the motions and write out the imprecatory prayers with no "spiritual overhead costs" to themselves and no need to devote any further time to it than writing out the stuff.

            Low cost to us.

High cost to the Koches and their Kochroaches.

            What's not to like, eh?:-)

      Get this to #OccupyWallStreet.

The more the people know- the louder the outrage, the more difficult to 'be above the law'.

I wasn't being defeatist.  I was being factual.

And besides e-mails, all these demonstrations will be in vain if it doesn't pan out to the ballot box next November.

It's time for elected officials to weigh in.
