    ...for what they use.

    The problem is that many rich people don't understand the value of the public goods they use.

    America provides good infrastructure, stable markets, enforceable contracts, property rights, and a powerful National Defense that keeps us safer than any other country in the world.

    America also provides social insurance. If a hot entrepreneur goes bust, he doesn't starve. He gets food assistance and Medicaid and Section 8 housing. His kids get a free education, K-12.This safety net makes risk-taking possible.

    Rich Americans are like a guy who never got in a car accident -- and wants GEICO to give him all his past insurance payments back. It just doesn't make sense.

      And for all the talk about Social Contracts,

      its worth noting that the wealthiest Americans have the most to lose from the dismantling of our nations infrastructure.

      its a very selfish thing for the Wealthy to want to protect it
