    Steve Reich's Tehillim.

The meter is constantly changing, and goes anywhere from 2/8 to 20/8.

    Here's just a small taste:

Would love to hear tablas with it. The percussion sounds thin (to me).

What do you think - tablas? Do you know of Badal Roy?

      •  I think it's a somewhat poor recording (1+ / 0-)

The percussion is a little bit thin, perhaps, but certainly stronger than you hear in this particular recording. (I chose it b/c it's the only one that focuses on the conductor.)

I think tablas would be interesting, although, given Reich's intent, it might be a bit out of place from a sonic standpoint.

Never heard of Badal Roy, though my curiosity is piqued now.
