Teachers in my district (mid-Hudson valley NY) are finally beginning to understand that public education has been under attack for some time and that things are not going to get better in a year or two when (if) the economy improves. Even though most teachers are working longer hours at a faster pace then ever before, they are now willing to take the time to meet and discuss the idea that there needs to be an organized push back.

A few short years ago I was merely whistling in the wind whenever I attempted to disseminate information to my colleagues regarding the threat to public education and its relationship to a broader political ideology. There are many colleagues who will now take the time to look at the information that you have shared............. thanks again.
