  •  You're not using your imagination. (0+ / 0-)

There is still plenty to cut out of classrooms if your goal is to make public schools so bad that all families want to enroll their kids in for-profit charter schools.

They cut me out of the classroom, and now I get to work for an online for-profit charter school (owned by a textbook company!)  I'm grateful for employment, but what I do is just plain wrong  I imagine this is how storm-troopers on the Death Star felt.

Since I was cut, they have subsequently cut out the last of the elective programs, computer lab access, and fifty minutes from each school day.  I can only assume the chairs and desks go next.

to hire skilled labor from abroad. They'd minimize taxes for education, and could just freeload on other countries' taxes and dedication to education.

Medicine and nursing work that way. Why not other specialties?

And with enough salary reductions and job cutbacks, people will eventually just give up and watch TV or permanently camp in the national parks.

      Depressing.

"There's nothing serious about a plan that claims to reduce the deficit by spending a trillion dollars on tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires." - President Obama
