pose nude.  Meaning she wouldn't be good to look at nude.  Does that mean he thinks college girls that are good to look at nude should pose nude?  Tuition is way more now than it was then.

The reporter asked the question. It was brushed off.  The another reporter asked about the brush off and there was a retort.

A man shirtless is equal to a woman shirtless?

and disrespectful and probably sexist. I wasn't defending it.

Do you get that I'm saying our side harping on the Cosmo spread isn't a whole lot better?

It was asked and answered in 2009. Voters decided they care that Scott Brown took off his shirt for the cameras in college. Frankly, neither would I. We should move on. It's pretty tacky and moreover, not effective.

      •  Reverse the situation and how do you think (0+ / 0-)

        the harping would go.

In this case it was the interviewer that was harping, what is his deal.  Who is he?

Brown got a pass and thinks it is OK.  No it is not OK, he only got a pass.  And it is OK that he got a pass.  However, other people were pretty enough to pose nude and didn't do it.  He really needs to back off on that stance that some are not pretty enough to do what he did.  And that he approves of pretty college girls posing without shirts.

Whole new can of worms as far as I am concerned.

          We are in total agreement.

We disagree on the appropriateness of Warren bringing up the topic of the Cosmo spread, and Kaili using the photo to illustrate this story.

When a student pointed out that Brown posed bare-chested for Cosmopolitan magazine to pay for college and asked how she paid for college, Warren replied: “I kept my clothes on.”

            •  Yes it mocks Brown. (0+ / 0-)

It also mocks any sex worker, exotic or go-go dancer, stripper, model, or anyone else that may have struggled to make ends meet to reach the college tuition.

It was funny. But it wasn't enlightened.

These people aren't as few and far between as people in Ivory League towers imagine. I don't think they are all unfit to hold office.

              •  You are shifting your argument from (0+ / 0-)

Warren brought up the topic, she didn't, and Kaili using the photo to illustrate the topic, she did.

Now you are saying that her answer to a topic she did not bring up was wrong.  I think you will go down kicking and screaming here.  But go down you must.

The question directly asked did she keep her clothes on.

                Here it is again.

When a student pointed out that Brown posed bare-chested for Cosmopolitan magazine to pay for college and asked how she paid for college, Warren replied: “I kept my clothes on.”

That wasn't a blanket mock of everyone who has taken their shirt off.  That was an answer to the implied question, did you do any titillating stuff to earn tuition money?
