  •  Thank you for your acitivism! (8+ / 0-)

I really don't understand the obsession with "Who is the leader of this movement?" I also don't understand the repeated queries about OWS's focus.

It's obvious enough to the PTB (who are scared shitless of its resonance and thus trying to make their MSM minions black out coverage whenever they can get away with doing so) what the movement's message is.   Hence, their constant effort to slander it by continually questioning its organization and focus.  They know only too well that it's about  the dissatisfaction of 99% of America with what the elite and corrupt 1% have done to We, the People's country.

If the occupiers have a few too many issues for some people to appreciate, perhaps that's because the 1% have broken almost everything there is to break in the country.

And as far as a leader goes, OWS is not a political party, but a movement.  Why, then, should it need a leader?  I really have to wonder why some people need/want so badly to see a leader.  Maybe we, as a people, need to stop being quite so "led."

OWS already has a General Assembly, but perhaps that form of democracy is too direct for some people's tastes.

I ♥ OccupyWallStreet! The first American Occupation we can all get behind!

And rather love this on the Occupy Wall Street Site:

This Site Has Nothing To Do With Us

We are not a political institution.
I think you're confusing my views with the person I was debating:
I really don't understand the obsession with "Who is the leader of this movement?" I also don't understand the repeated queries about OWS's focus.
I don't care about who is their "leader," or what is on their legislative checklist for the Corporate tools in Washington DC.

    •  All I have learned from history (3+ / 0-)

Is that when everything MUST have a leader, nearly everything will be corrupted. This place is supposed to be of for and by the people. Not of for and by the leader. OWS is more true to our founding fathers general intent than anything else going on in the country.

One great big festering neon distraction, I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied.
