I can tell you that many cadres of conservative women do support birth control and the right to choose well enough to make contributions to candidates that would otherwise not be on their list. They often speak about not being able to tell their husbands and they do it under wraps and go so far as to provide money order contributions, but they are legion. In this case, I didn't care if they were hypocrites, either.

is in general a very conservative, Republican voter. However, she makes an exception when it comes to women's rights (apparently not when it comes to who she votes for, but in her donations, etc). She is a lifelong supporter of Planned Parenthood and used to volunteer with a local women's shelter. I think there are a lot of conservative women like her.

Translating their quiet support into electoral gain, however, is a different matter. I'm not sure that it'll be that easy, as one would have thought they'd have been outraged enough to stop voting for Republicans a while ago just based on all the anti-abortion stuff. Most aren't single-issue voters, and aren't going to abandon all their other cultural identification with conservatism over just this issue. Maybe the attacks on contraception are going to be a bridge too far for conservative women, where attacks on abortion weren't? It touches nearly everyone's lives, after all.
