    Actually, not that many civilians have been killed in Libya - most of the bombing was directed against vehicles, tanks and the like, during the fighting around Misrata and Tripoli.  The US has blown up a number of military compounds in Tripoli but the adjacent homes are not hit although they have quite a few bullet holes from all the ground fighting.  The US did blow up some radio stations and communications facilities and no doubt there were civilian employees inside. But the roads surrounding Misrata, Brega, Ajdabiya, etc are lined with burnt out tanks that were hit by NATO and the road is pitted with bomb blasts.
