So, Andrews is just making this up?

    Speculation?

...there is NOTHING in andrews' piece about the relationship between warren and obama's administration except speculation on andrews' part...

Actually, there's quite a bit in Andrews' piece which demonstrates the tension and animus between Warren and multiple members of the administration. In fact, it's a significant portion of Andrews' entire post. For you to be making these statements beyond absurd.

    •  no there is not (3+ / 0-)

there is NOTHING in the article that makes your point. it's a lot of anonymous sources and people's OPINIONS.  but there is absolutely NOTHING in andrews' piece indicating warren was thrown under any bus by anybody except the GOP.

if there were, you'd quote it.

“Geithner hated her,” says a former administration official.

so what if he did.  we don't know that he did; all we have is one person making that claim.  even if he did, that still doesn't count as "being thrown under the bus."

warren made the choice to forgo the nomination so she could get to work setting up the CFPB.

the only absurd thing here is the lengths to which you will go to deny that little bit of reality.  she preferred to actually accomplish something rather than sit by in silence for a year or more.

but you go right ahead pretending that never happened, that warren had no say regarding her own fate here.  do you have any concept how insulting your interpretation of events is to warren?

        Cedwyn is...

        1) Denying what the article says on the basis of its sourcing.

        2) Pointing out that nobody literally pushed Warren under a large vehicle used for public transportation.

or to put this another way...

Like virtually everyone else who's ever lost a job in Washington other than Gen. MacArthur and Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox, Warren removed herself / resigned rather than being publicly shitcanned.   Therefore, Cedwyn oddly concludes, not only was she not forced out, nobody in the Obama administration disliked her or worked against her in any way.

This is Cedwyn's story. And she's sticking to it.  I don't think she'll alter it unless Barack Obama sits down for a beer with her and explains personally that it just isn't so.

        •  nonsense (3+ / 0-)

i said not one word about the sourcing in that article.  what i said was:

“Geithner hated her,” says a former administration official.

so what if he did.  we don't know that he did; all we have is one person making that claim.

that's the only comment i made that even comes close to being on the basis of sourcing.

but one person making a claim doesn't make it true.  that's not a criticism of the sourcing at all, except for bemoaning a dearth of it.

as for point number two, did you even gloss over this:

          http://www.youtube.com/...

i had this idea for the agency and figured someone else would take care.  i am here to set up agency to start pushing back.

i don't know the politics, but i don't see this as a compromise at all.  confirmation would have kept me from being able to work on or talk about agency.  or i could not have that title and get to work right now.  i don't care what you call me; let me come work and help.

those are warren's own words.  why should we not believe what she herself says?

...bullshit, as you ignore the preponderance of FACTS that are provided in the article.

Then again, your continual insistence on citing press releases and public speeches/statements as support for arguments means little in a political world where 99% of the truth is only found beneath the bullshit. ("It's not what they say. It's what they DO.")

I mean, hey, the President called Wall Street a bunch of "fat cat bankers," meanwhile he earned $43 million in contributions from them in 2008, and he's well on the way to pocketing much more than that from them in this cycle. Never mind, as even Markos is now acknowledging it, that the White House and the Treasury are staffed (this is said by Markos somewhat figuratively, since the phrase also includes alumni from JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, etc.) with a bunch of Goldman Sachs alumni.

amazing in her unwavering ability to mis-explain away anything unfavorable to this POTUS.  ANYTHING.

While not pretty to watch, it is somewhat amusing.  Takes me back to those heated days of Health Care Insurance Reform.  Back when Obama didn't throw the PO under the bus.  Whoops.
