a law to say that any large political donation should be regarded as a presumptive bribe.  Any politician who accepts a large contribution from anyone, either money or other benefits, should be convicted of accepting bribes and sent to prison.  Maybe a law like this could circumvent Citizens United.

to get around Citizens' United is to say that any rich fuck can spend as much as they like on political speech, but any elected politician who spends more than 2x the salary paid for their office is guilty of conflict of interest and thus subject to automatic removal from office. The tie-in between the pols and their "uncoordinated" benefactors would come with a rule modifying the First Amendment to ban provably false information from being included in any speech that is paid for in any way. Thus, those who want to lie with impunity can go stand in the park and shout all they like, but if they're paying for airtime or print, it has to be provably true.

I'm not too worried about whatever true facts the Koch brothers and their ilk might want to spread. Their ilk hides from the truth the way cockroaches hide from the light.

Al Qeada is a faith-based initiative.
