the anti-contraception agenda, which is very active and driving hard.  Contraception is already circumscribed by "conscience" laws.  Outright banning is the next action item.  Just as the US Taliban has eliminated abortion in some venues, they're aiming at contraception.  And openly, now.  They're not concealing their goals at this point.  In the long run, they'll lose, but it's going to be a long and ugly fight from here to there.  They are the American version of vicious religious extremism, with all that implies for anyone identified as the underclass.

I Would ‘Absolutely’ Support State Constitutional Amendment To Define Life As Beginning At Conception
      Think Progress
Personhood @ conception - This is their bottom line. Complete control

the abortion issue.  The survey discussions I've seen comment that some younger women seem hostile to the idea of abortion, as if it's an irresponsibility problem.  They clearly don't get it.  But when THEIR birth control is threatened, well, we'll see.  Humans, I'm sorry to report, usually only learn the hard way.  It's disheartening to realize that so many younger women haven't even a tenuous acquaintance with the women's movement's hand to hand combats.

And simple empathy is in short supply everywhere.  I must admit I was inclined to harsh judgments when I was younger, but as another woman pointed out, "I used to say, "I'd never do that,' but then a few months later I'd find myself doing exactly that.  It was embarrassing."  Instructive, too.
