As the "adult" in the GOP.  He may begin edging out and into the debate soon, altho not as an official candidate until as late as possible.  There is still a lot of big money in the Bush family rolodex, and Citizens United money that hasn't yet found a GOP candidate. After the GOP Klown Kollege has done its thing with these demeaning "debates", Jeb is going to look like JC to both the Tea Party and the right wing business community. He's an experienced ex-governor of a big state, very conservative socially, very pro-business. I've never understood why he wasn't one of the primo GOP candidates to begin with. Granted, his last name is Bush, but the AMerican public has the memory of a fruit fly, so he should be able to get beyond that unfortunate association in about a week of active campaigning.

Not just the name alone, but the whole "dynasty" thing kills him. This recurring DK fantasy about him grows more tedious with each posting.

Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama-Bush? And then what after that? Jeb's son? Jenna Bush maybe? A Bush end up in the Cabinet, but I dont see a Bush running for president in the near future

the next one might be Georgie P. and I don't think that'd be for at least 12 years, if not much longer. I'm really tired of this idea that the public is "stupid" ... except when they vote for Democrats, when they're not. Yawn .....

Of course not.  But many Republicans, who probably look back on the primogeniture of kings as the good old days, would LOVE the idea of a Bush dynasty. I can just hear it now...Obama has kept so many of George Bush's policies in place he can't have been that bad, afterall, we still have Gitmo, and Iraq, and Afghanistan, and his tax cuts. Obama is deporting more undocumented immigrants than Bush ever contemplated.  In fact, if Jeb were to champion changes to the ICE Safe Communities program, he'd bring a LOT of angry Latinos ( who voted for Obama) over to his side of the ballot.

But not until 2016, when he doesn't have to face Obama.
