  •  Should the owners be responsible for the costs? (0+ / 0-)

Dissent and protest are great! But is it reasonable to expect the owners of this park to have to pay for the incredible increase in the upkeep and repair costs?

I've been down there, and it is trashed -- no doubt about that.

was brought up that the protesters themselves jumped in and took care of it. If the park truly is trashed as you say then I am willing to bet that the protesters will repair it . If that requires some money for  replanting or whatever I am certain that a call out for some donations will take care of the cost in a hurry. The majority  of the protesters are responsible people who will do the right thing . We aren't the teabaggers.

there has been "an incredible increase" in cost?

The only thing incredible is your claim.

I was just down there. The park is perfectly clean.

After Bloomberg's aborted attempt to evict them, protesters have been very self-policing about keeping it clean.

Is the concrete wearing from all the feet on it?

At this point, far more people have now been arrested for protesting Wall Street's mortgage fraud crimes than have been for committing and presiding over them.
