took/scammed/whatever phrase you want to use for stealing money since cave men started collecting beads in coconut shells.

Pointing out this or that recent circumstance of people defrauding banks does not somehow remove the culpability of the financial sector, primarily symbolized by Wall Street, in the recent world wide financial disaster.  If you want to place blame outside of Wall Street you can point to the deregulatory atmosphere which led to the removal of boundaries which somewhat controlled the Wall Street excess... but never the less, Wall Street should be castigated for their role in this, despite the stories of banks getting taken by unscrupulous employees and thieves.

private property tell us that people take more care of their own interests than those of others. There's actually little evidence of that.  Just as there is scant evidence that all parents love their children. But, in any event, perhaps we need to place more emphasis on honor and how another's belongings merit more care than our own.
Rank stewardship as more important than ownership.

      •  Very true. (0+ / 0-)

Though your vocabulary may be a little beyond some of us.

I happen to know a family, one of those RW horror stories, who basically didn't have a pot to piss in, yet got a no money down, no payment for 6 months loan on a nice house. Which was pretty cool for them. 6 months in a nice house! Of course then they were foreclosed and back on the street.

Is this Peter Block concept what you're talking about?
