    in areas with water shortages governing watering.

    My neighbor used to take care of peoples' property.

    She had to be at a property at 7am and be sure the watering stopped by 8am.

    The properties had sprinkler systems, but were run manually to comply with variable periods when watering could be done.

    "It never rains in Southern California" except for mainly in the first months of the year I believe.

    Usually systems water one area for say 15 minutes, then switch to another area for 15 minutes, etc. because of the size of the water supply pipe.
