with this policy. Certainly not the elderly. Not the middle-agers who will be taking care do their parents and/or have services to their children cut.

I can't believe that he can win the primary with this policy. There were a ton of Teajahdist holding signs about keeping government out of their Medicaid and Social Security. I can't imagine how he wins their support with this.

Even if he somehow manages to be the only man standing after the primaries, how could he possibly win the general?!?!?

    •  Look at Nov 2010. The Voters Who Turn Out And (0+ / 0-)

are permitted to cast ballots are not the same as the American people.

The right understood in 2008 that all it had to do was go crazy for its extreme base and it could win the entire election. They turned off the moderates and they turned off the liberals, but the Democrats turned off the liberals too and epically lost the middle.

It worked so well it was the biggest mid-term election rout since the late 1800's.

The fact that they're doing this now shows they feel that the voters who will be tallied will be a majority conservative turnout, and they no longer need to seem moderate or sane.

Plus they've got an 18 month nomination debate series running, while the Democrats have no nomination race which is what passes for playing smart on our side, and that means that all the news and commentary in the media will be discussing exclusively Republican proposals till after the Democratic Convention.

This is how you win elections. If rabies is a winning tactic, the first one to recognize it and capitalize on it wins.

      Haven't seen that.
