The Immigration Policy Center dispels the notion

The Immigration Policy Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

        •  I'm biased too. (0+ / 0-)

Who isn't? Are you calling them out on their pro-migrant bias? Shame on them! It's not like the AILA is a front group for some political hacks.

          From the AILA website:

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is the national association of over 11,000 attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. AILA Member attorneys represent U.S. families seeking permanent residence for close family members, as well as U.S. businesses seeking talent from the global marketplace. AILA Members also represent foreign students, entertainers, athletes, and asylum seekers, often on a pro bono basis. Founded in 1946, AILA is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that provides continuing legal education, information, professional services, and expertise through its 36 chapters and over 50 national committees.

But unless you're really that naive, I don't have to tell you that it's a FINANCIAL bias.

            •  And you're really that (0+ / 0-)

cynical? I'm not talking about emotion. I'm talking about morality. There's a difference. Bias, financial or otherwise, is inescapable. Financial gain does not equal false information. As with everything else, you have to judge for yourself.

              •  I am that cynical when talking about lawyers. I (0+ / 0-)

am NOT more cynical of immigration attorneys more so than any other lawyers...I (dis)trust them equally.
