I noticed a $.50 fee suddenly appear lst time I got cash back at the grocers.   I did not know about teh 7/11 being fee free.

Are connected to the Credit Union Co-Op service, so you can use your credit union ATM for free.

    •  I didn't either (0+ / 0-)

but I had to buy a money order, and the 7/11 cashier couldn't let me put it on a credit or debit card, I had to use cash. So he pointed out an ATM machine in the corner, and I fully expected to get one of those "This transaction will cost you $2.50, do you still want to proceed?" messages. When the message didn't show up, I checked the receipt, and there was no charge there, either.

My credit union refunds up to ten $1.50 ATM fees per month, and I rarely use more than five or six. A fifty cent fee at Trader Joe's is better than a $1.50 fee at the gas station. I'd use 7/11 more, since it's free, but there isn't one nearby.
