at an Occupy gathering a couple of weeks ago. He seemed quite progressive. He then told me that he had been a Tea Party member when it first started, but quit when he realized it was being taken over by people who had a different agenda. We continued to talk, and he said although he liked Ron Paul, he didn't agree completely with him. Where we disagreed was on so-called "entitlement programs" -- his problem with them was that we can't afford them and that they could be changed for younger people over time without a lot of pain involved. He worked at a local business for probably $9 an hour. I asked him how his saving for retirement was going....crickets. I didn't think to ask him if he had good insurance coverage. He was quite bright and I hope he continues to do Occupy meetings and keep his mind open.
