    Mine is now so well-seasoned that I can usually clean it with just a paper towel--no water, no scrubbing. (And of course, NEVER any soap.)

    Unlike a teflon skillet, which loses its slipperiness with use, a cast-iron skillet gets slicker the more you use it.

    A bit of iron gets into your food. Just as a little teflon gets into your food from teflon skillets. (Teflon molecules are in just about everybody.) But unlike teflon, iron is a nutrient!
