...all police are about imposing the politicians idea of order onto others.

You are naive if you think it is otherwise.

I have no respect for police. Especially when they stand shoulder to shoulder to the types of officers like Tony Bologna and stay in uniform.

It doesn’t matter what they are thinking as they swing the batons or shoot the pepperspray.  It matters little if it make them feel real bad.

    •  You should really actually learn how to read. (7+ / 0-)

Jtraynor says s/he would resign if ordered to do that.  That's not "standing shoulder to shoulder" and "stay in uniform".  You're laying your feelings down on someone who is within the blue ranks who is saying they would not do what you are so against, and you're punishing them for it.

So tempted to use a donut on this comment because you're making a personal attack without actually paying attention.

... and saying so is not a personal attack,  At least not the type that is HRable here in my opinion.

And more to the polnt.  How many NYPD officers, or Oakland officers. or Denver officers have resigned or refused duty over the occuy protests.  I have certainly not heard of any and they would be news.  I don't even recall any police unions supporting the protest although it is possible and I missed it.

So even if he would do what he says he would and resign his campus police position he is not a member of the majority as he portrays but a very rare exception.
