    But I don't think he really has the full bredth and scope of the police experience, at least not big city policing, to be judging how the 'majority of police are'  Maybe he is correct about the majority if you consider all the small town police or campus cops but that doesn't really matter when the police in question are big city police.

    If the majority of cops out ther where such nice guys there would be a larger number of people who would consider them with affection or at lease disintrest.  But now Ii will probably be told that people with bad views of the police are just criminals of varrying degree just venting thier anger over being caught.

      have mostly been pretty positive. Not a big city, but a city nonetheless, in a very red state. I've witnessed professionalism, patience, and decency firsthand, so I cannot and will not broad brush All Police as bad.

      Big city police in particular often have some serious institutional problems, and the result is rotten policing, including but not limited to brutality, but I still am not willing to demonize the cops en masse.

      I am horrified by what has happened in Oakland and Denver. There is no excuse for it.
