  •  The one and only time I was tear gassed (8+ / 0-)

    and exposed to another gas that burned my skin - was at the anti-Vietnam War rally in Washington DC Nov of 1970.

    It was horrible - and just as you described it. The second gas burned my skin and got even worse when I tried to wash it off with water. A young soldier told me not to wet my face because it would only make it worse.

    The similarity between out experiences: peaceful protests that the cops didn't agree with.

    Some things never change.

    Thank you for picking up the standard and charging forward for those of us who are not able to fight this fight.

    Still trying to think of something thought-provoking or hilarious for this space.
