    May Day has persisted, but even that still has a pagan aura about it.

      because in the US we don't acknowledge May Day 'cause it's been used to promote all those nasty unions and commies and things like that. Never mind that in almost every other nation on the planet it's used to honor workers in one way or another.

      And Easter is sort of a moveable feast, although nothing like Paris.

      I rather like Beltane just for that reason.
