  •  Related Issue: Citizen's United is HUGE (13+ / 0-)

I can think of no related issue that could/will change the dynamic of American governmental structure than Citizens United.

The MEANS by which that case came about, the unprecedented action of certain judges to have the parties address an issue not directly related to the original case is an incredibly frightening power grab.  A power grab that did not occur in a vacuum - but must have been sought for years.

And now we are beginning to feel the ramifications - and they are just beginning to materialize.  For those of us who have been tremendously disappointed by Obama, and I am one, his appointments to the Supreme Court have been laudatory and provide the single best reason to actively seek his re-election.  The very thought of Mitt and his benefactors picking the judges that change our governmental structure is as scary a result as any that I can think of.

    •  An accurate depiction of the main result of the (9+ / 0-)

overall problem and brought about by the Cabal.  More on t his is yet to come and readers will find out "exactly" how opinions such as the one in Citizens United were made.  It is indeed, insidious.  And no, no way we want a Romney or worse yet, Gingrich or Cain picking future SCOTUS Justices!

      •  I believe that the quality of your research: (8+ / 0-)

Is so good, so needed that you owe it to yourself and your country to submit your research for publication.  Of course, the MSM will try to avoid the issues raised, but not all of them, Rolling Stone is doing some of the best legwork of any news organization going.  The NYT may be interested simply to rebut their rival the WSJ.

Rachel/Keith would likely be interested.  It is a little unfair to ask you to do more work, but it will empower the research you have already done and I encourage and admire you.

in the reporting.  We are reaching out to top media outlets and have gotten some significant nibbles in return from Bloomberg, TIME and a couple of Progressive media outlets.  This was offered to The Nation early on and they did show interest in the work and facts, but said it would be some time before they could get it published.  All subsequent contact with The Nation has fallen on deaf ears there since I was unwilling to wait for their schedule to allow publication.

The number and names involved - that are even now awaiting publication have many worried about their safety should they assist in publication.  They agree the facts are accurate, the supporting documents explosive and the story worth reporting, but fear the response from those clearly involved - such as Clarence Thomas, Alito, Scalia, former AG's Meese and Ashcroft - and of course George Bush is right in the middle of much of it.

Hopefully either TIME or one of the other more courageous outlets will pick up this and the rest of the story.  The full expose (written for a magazine and not including the material in this blog) is nearly 9000 words in length, fully fact checked and supported by documents hard to refute.  It is so explosive many are simply unwilling to face the pushback that is bound to come if/when published.

at MSNBC were given much of this information and their producers never even acknowledged receipt.  I went to Maddowblog and personally provided some of this to encourage her to take an interest and got no response.  Maybe I don't have a name they recognize as someone to pay attention to?  Dunno.
