are from different poles of experience.

Red grew up being concerned with the social constructs of industrial growth economics. That focus from an Eco-psychological perspective was a continuation of the tendency of western culture to view man and nature as fundamentally separate, much in the same way Descartes viewed mind and body as separate.

Green has grown up being part of the movement of putting mind and body, humanity and nature back together. The social systems side of life has not been an overriding preoccupation in the birthed DNA of that movement.

So there is considerable work to be done in getting both ways of seeing the world together. The thing that brings them together and gives them a chance is that they both move past the view that the individual person is the beginning and end of purpose and therefore the design of systems that extend our chosen purposes into the larger world.

Love = Awareness of mutually beneficial exchange across semi-permeable boundaries. Political and economic systems either amplify or inhibit Love.
